2. General Information
Personal data means any information that can directly or indirectly identify a person. We process data only where this is necessary for the secure and functional operation of this website or where another legal basis applies.
No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
3. Hosting and Server Log Data
This website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4-6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany.
When you access the website, technically necessary log data may be processed. This may include, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, amount of data transferred and HTTP status code.
The processing serves to provide the website securely and reliably, analyse errors, and detect and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website.
A data processing agreement is in place with Mittwald. Data is stored only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes and to meet contractual or statutory obligations. Further information: Mittwald Privacy Policy.
4. Encrypted Connection
The website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
5. Rally Functions and Local Storage
To enable the rally to display the relevant solution letter after a successfully completed challenge and recognise progress on the same device, status information is stored solely in your browser’s local storage. This currently comprises the entries wc-station1-solved, wc-station2-solved, wc-station3-solved, wc-station5-solved and wc-station7-solved.
This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to our server by the rally function. You can delete it at any time via your browser’s website or browsing data settings.
Access is necessary for the rally function expressly requested by the user and is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. To the extent that this may involve personal data, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a user-friendly and functional rally.
6. Cookies, Analytics and Forms
We currently use no analytics, advertising or tracking services in the publicly accessible area. There is currently no contact form or newsletter. Based on the present technical setup, no cookies requiring consent are used for ordinary visitors.
Technically necessary cookies may be used for logged-in administrators in the non-public WordPress login and administration area.
7. Technical Content from WordPress.org
WordPress may retrieve image files from the service s.w.org (WordPress.org) in order to display certain emojis. This technically transmits the IP address, in particular, to the service’s server. The integration serves to display the symbols used for the rally consistently. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
